Objective
Replace the use of multiple Excel files with a centralized module that generates a complete PQI report. This module is designed to make it easier to visualize allocated amounts (funding, grants, other funds) in relation to expenditures and capitalizable project costs.
Background
This module was developed in close collaboration with the cities of Rosemère and Bécancour. Their shared expertise, reports, and working methods were instrumental in designing this new feature. Their experience in municipal accounting enabled our team to create a user-friendly interface and reports tailored to the real needs of cities.
How It Works
In form mode, a staff member can create a project sheet that includes:
- A project description
- The responsible department
- The link to the strategic plan
- Estimated costs or expenses
- Sources of funding
- Priority level
- Notes and associated documents
- Any other information specific to the city
A moderation step allows validation of the entered data based on criteria defined by the municipality (e.g., funding gap validation, addition of grants, etc.). The sheet is then submitted for approval to the accounting department.
Once the project is active, the reports allow visualization of all financial data by category or type, making it easier to plan budgets and monitor progress.
In Development
We are currently enhancing the dynamic reports to further simplify accountability processes. Your suggestions are welcome to help enrich the module’s features.
